Weather Data Based Analysis of Existing Solar and Wind potential of Karachi, Pakistan

Resumen

The solar irradiation and wind speed show random as well as periodic variations as a function of
variations in the weather. In this paper, an effort is made to detect, analyze, model and predict in
order to be able to forecast the variations in solar irradiations and the wind parameters to be able
to efficiently employ these renewable energy sources in meeting the current and future power
needs of Karachi mega city.
